Montclair History Center Partners with Montclair Ambulance Unit to Preserve and Share MAU’s History

New to Our Digital Collections

Explore a Visual History of Montclair Ambulance Unit- This collection contains photographs, documents, and other materials documenting the history of the Montclair Ambulance Unit (MAU), founded in 1953. MAU provided the archival materials to the Montclair History Center for digitization and still holds the physical collection.

150th Oral History Project - Explore all the stories added online this past year.

Hahne and Company Photograph Collection: A series of Hahne's & Company store window displays for Christmas were donated and uploaded this year (132 total!)

Amelia Clegg Quilts: Five additional quilts from the collection were professionally photographed and added to the digital collections. All of the quilts were made here in Montclair ca. 1940-1950 by Montclair local Amelia Clegg (1890-1965). 

MHC Postcard Collection: The entire MHC postcard collection is now online! An additional 860 postcards were added to our digital collections, totalling our online collection to 1,094 postcards. 

MHC Photograph Collection: An additional 1,051 photos were added to the photograph collection online!
