If you are unable to visit the library, we will be happy to perform the research for you! Research requests include detective work in our archives, utilizing online resources (ancestry.com and newspapers.com), recommendations of other organizations to contact, a summary of findings, and any relevant paper or digital copies of materials found. The cost for this option is $75/hour (MHC members receive the first hour of research for free!) with most research requests taking about 3-4 hours to research and compile everything. Please email mail@montclairhistory.org or call the office at 973-744-1796 to get started!
