Group Tours
Group tours, for 10 or more persons
are available to the Israel Crane House and Evergreens from
September through June.
A one-hour group tour of the Israel
Crane House is $50 for a group up to 20 persons and $2 for
each additional person. A group tour of Evergreens is available
in two formats. An interior and exterior tour lasting one-a-half
hour is $8 per person, with a maximum of 20 persons per group.
A one-hour interior tour only is $5 per person, with a maximum
of 20 persons per group. Email us at:

send you the reservation form. A $25 deposit is required.
We will confirm your reservation. You may also want to download (see attached PDF file) our Group Tour Fact sheet for the Crane House Museum which gives details about what to expect on your visit, special needs, and directions. Group tours are also available April through October of Evergreens: The Shultz House Museum. Details can be found on the group tour reservation form noted above.
| The first floor and lower level meeting room floor of the Israel Crane House Museum is accessible to visitors in wheelchairs. An accessible restroom is also provided. Once in the meeting room, visitors may enjoy a complete video tour of the collection. Please call in advance for assistance, 973.744.1796. |  |
Renting "Renting our Facilities"
The Montclair Historical Society offers a unique venue for meetings and entertaining. This includes the Crane House Museum meeting room, as well as use of our grounds, gazebo and gardens. The grounds and front porch of Evergreens: The Shultz House Museum can also be rented for special occasions. Whether for a private wedding or other celebration, small group meeting or a conference, the Montclair Historical Society will be happy to accommodate you. Special rates apply to business or non-profit groups. Contact the Historical Society for this policy. Groups tours of the facilities are extra (see Group Tour information above). The first floor and lower level meeting room floor of the Crane House Museum is accessible to visitors in wheelchairs. All renters of our facilities must be a member of the Historical Society, must show proof of non-profit status if applicable, must sign “Hold Harmless Agreement” and provide a certificate of insurance, use and type of function to be held must be approved by the Board of Trustees and security deposit must accompany application for event.
