MONTCLAIR KITCHEN TOUR:
"Past to Present"
A Benefit Tour of Eight Fabulous Kitchens in Montclair Homes

Sunday, November 4, 2007
Noon to 4:00 PM
With Gourmet Tasting Party at Evergreens Mansion
2:30 to 5:30PM

Sub-Zeros, granite countertops, detailed moldings, stainless steel appliances, professional stoves – whatever is the most elegant and desirable for the perfect kitchen will be on display on Sunday, November 4th, when the Montclair Historical Society presents its Kitchen Tours 2007. The theme of the tour is "Montclair Kitchens: Past to Present.”

Attendees will guide themselves through some of Montclair’s most interesting new culinary spaces constructed in a variety of styles, from contemporary to retro -- plus a tour of the Society’s original hearth in the c. 1796 Crane House Museum and the original kitchen at the high Victorian Evergreens Mansion.

Attendees can also chose either a mid-tour stop-over, or attend a gourmet tasting after-party at the Society’s htisoric Evergreens mansion overlooking New York City at 30 North Mountain Avenue. The tasting party will feature some of the signature appetizing dishes created by many of Montclair’s favorite restaurants and caterers, among them Passione, Egan's and Nikki Messiah Desserts..

“The kitchen tour is a perfect showcase for Montclair’s classic and stately homes, to show how people have integrated the old and the new into some amazing new kitchens,” said Brenda Hébert, Executive Director of the Montclair Historical Society.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Montclair Historical Society and help support our educational programming and collections.
