Spoon-a-thon: First Annual?

The Montclair Historical Society and Montclair Community Farms teamed up Saturday for a fun day on the grounds on Israel Crane House and new community farm site. The spirit was fun and infectious!

Special thanks to Comfort Food Kitchen, Fitzgerald’s 1928, Let’spoon, Terra@Isabel Rose Cafe, and Uptown 596 for offering tastings of your phenomenal soups.  Thanks to the musicians who kept us entertained throughout the day .., to the many, many volunteers who helped make it happen … to Carolina Capehart, who prepared turnip soup the way our ancestors would have in the exterior kitchen of the Crane House … to the Montclair Food Coop CSA for bringing their bicycle-powered food blender … to Hilltop Honey for bringing your bees.

And, thanks to Baristanet for your coverage of our day (and this photo).  Yes! We’d love to make it an annual event!
